and I saw still some
features of her past
and mutual friends we knew
checked in to bond renew.
grandparents all
with travel on their minds
the lake the flight the cruise
and grandkids schooling news.
how could such time and space
have got between?
still it is great to see
that she remembers me
though aches and wrinkles
do their business mean.
