Old Woman up and away. Dream material.

Now that was a dream.

Right before waking
An old woman sits
On a bus bench
Ornate walking stick
And tan coloured purse.
She seems contented
Waiting patiently for
Something, Someone.

Little children approach her
Without hesitation
Or fear, saying not a word.
She knows it is the toffee
Way down in her purse.
Two of the five kids
Will thank her.
From down in that purse
She also pulls a Testament.
Helps with the waiting.

Not too long after
A handsome young man
Arrives. They both laugh.
He takes her hand, pulls her up.
They walk for a spell.
Sidewalk blocks without strain.
She lets her stick fall.
Then up and up
Into the clouds. Until gone from view
Of all those on the street.
Her street of custom.
And of hopeful waiting.

(A good time to read Luke chapter 2 and verses 25-33)
